About Me!

Allen McBride is an aspiring singer, songwriter, and actor born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. Surrounded by music from a young age, he began his performance journey at just four years old, singing his first solo in a Pre-K holiday concert. He grew up performing in church choirs and at community events, including NAACP programs, school functions, and college showcases. His passion for storytelling and music naturally expanded into acting, where he found his voice on both stage and screen.

Allen has performed with the Gainesville Orchestra under Maestro Evans Haile, worked with various professional theaters, and served as the lead vocalist for the Gainesville Retro Society Band. His stage credits include starring roles like Seaweed J. Stubbs in Four Corners Musical Theatre Co. production of HAIRSPRAY, SCAD productions such as BEAUTIFUL: The Carole King Musical and as Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors. At SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design), he is a proud member of their premier vocal ensemble, The Bee Sharps, and has acted in several short films, including The Last Sip, Boogie Wonderland, A Perfect Venue, and Run Behind the Curtain.

His training spans a variety of esteemed mentors and performers, including Nik Walker (Hamilton), actor Carl Kennedy, Marion J. Caffey (Director of Apollo Theater’s Amateur Night), Barbara Padilla (Operatic Soprano), and actor BD Wong. Allen holds an Associate of Arts degree in Musical Theatre from Santa Fe College, is a graduate of Stella Adler’s Musical Theatre Intensive in New York City, and is currently entering his senior year at SCAD, pursuing a B.F.A. in Performing Arts.
